James was born and bred in Braunton, North Devon before leaving to attend the University of West of England, Bristol where he obtained a BSc (hons) degree in Real Estate Valuation and Management.
He started his property career working for Bristol City Council in their commercial property department where he managed over 1,000 property interests and was appointed to the Council's carbon emissions adviser board. During this time James also undertook a Master degree on a part time basis completing his MA in 2012.
In 2011 James returned to North Devon with a well-known local firm as a junior surveyor, quickly working his way up to Head of the Professional department and later a Director of the firm.
James qualified as a full member of the RICS in 2013 and was appointed Registered Valuer shortly after. He is also the appointed Principle Designer for the Exeter Diocese responsible for their residential stock.

As an RICS member, we are required to undertake a minimum of 20 hours Continual Professional Development (CPD) each year ensuring we are fully up to date with new regulations.
Being based in Braunton and operating throughout North Devon we have extensive knowledge of the local area, something which is invaluable for a property surveyor.
We are based in North Devon but provide surveying services throughout the south-west including Devon, Cornwall and Somerset.
